We prioritise usefulness, distinctiveness, local relevance, practical quality and the likelihood that a visitor will consider an experience worth their time. Inclusion is not automatically an endorsement of every aspect of a business or attraction.
Commercial independence
Payment, advertising spend or affiliate commission does not buy an ordinary editorial recommendation. Sponsored material and paid placements should be labelled clearly and kept distinguishable from independent editorial content.
Verification and updates
We aim to check changeable facts against reliable sources and, where appropriate, first-hand experience. Pages may show a last-checked date. That date is useful context, not a guarantee that nothing has changed since.
AI-assisted work
Software, including AI tools, may assist with research, structuring, editing or quality checks. Published factual claims should still be reviewed against appropriate sources rather than treated as correct merely because a tool produced them.
